Introducing Mokie Mae

Mokey is a Breezy/Logan offspring.  She is a multigen that will begin producing litters for Fox Creek Farm later this year.  She hopefully will pass along her beautiful red coloring and sweet personality to  her puppies.

In this blog I have for you today, I would like to introduce Trapper, a stud who has sired many puppies! Trapper is the smallest of the studs weighting at 16 pounds!  One of his sons, Beamer, will begin siring litters in the spring.  Trapper is named after the old TV series, "M*A*S*H", one of Amy's old time favorites! She has named 3 other studs off the show as well - Radar, Hawkeye, and Winchester all of which are retired now.

I must say, Trapper is the goofiest of the studs. He seems to have no cares in the world and has a great sense of humor.  Although he is small, he is mighty! He is boss man to another stud who is BIGGER than him! You heard me right. :)

This month Pebbles turned 15!

For those of you who do not know Pebbles, she was a puppy from the very first litter of F1 Mini/Medium Goldendoodles in the World! 

Pebbles is Amy's companion. Every morning Amy lets the dogs out and Pebbles comes RUNNING out the house, down the steps, through the yard and even plays with her dog friend, Levi. Pebbles has a unique routine - Amy calls it dog OCD! Pebbles will run over to the kennel, take a nap, bark to be let outside, come in and bark at her food bowl, eat, and then take another nap...repeat...Haha! 

For her age, Pebbles has no serious medical issues. She is on the same routine as the younger dogs, she gets wormed on schedule, bathed once a week, clipped, and brushed! She is a trooper. She will continue to live the rest of her dog life as a very much loved pet with David & Amy at Fox Creek Farm!   

Fox Creek's Levi Strauss

As some of you already know, I have been working for Amy Lane the past few months. Amy is a local reputable Goldendoodle breeder. Her business is growing and decided to hire an employee. I'm glad she chose me!  

I literally have the best job ever. Let's just say that laying in a pile of Goldendoodle puppies (most people's dream) is just my everyday norm here at Fox Creek Farm...

This is Levi, one of Amy's finest studs. (Shhhh don't tell the others I said that). He is a standard Goldendoodle with a BIG personality, i mean come on...look at him! I enjoy my days at the kennel with Levi by my side. I have grown fond of him and fell in love with his big heart day 1 on the job. Today he was my guinea pig to learn how to groom a Goldendoodle! (This picture was taken before his grooming). He was so patient as I wanted to be sure I was making every cut perfectly. (A job that should take 1 hour took me 3 hours!!!) Sometime in March I will be getting one of his offspring...one of his last liters. Levi will soon retire from the breeding program and live the rest of his spoiled life with Amy & David at Fox Creek Farm. 

I will be starting a blog about my adventures working at Fox Creek Farm for those who are interested in reading it. I will be posting weekly. You will get to meet the other studs along the way!

Guardian homes needed for breeding dogs

Fox Creek Farm has a 3 year old 45 lb. female and two female puppies (approx. 30 lb. and 45 lb.) available to approved guardian homes.  These puppies and adult will be ready in early August.  Guardians must live within 2 hours of Berkeley Springs, WV.  Guardians receive select puppies/adults free of charge to raise as their permanent family dog.  The females will come back to Fox Creek Farm to deliver a specified number of litters before full ownership is signed over to the Guardian.  If you are interested, please email Amy@Goldendoodles.net

Fox Creek Farm is accepting applications for wavy coated minis due around 9/22/14 and ready around 11/10/14.  The parents are Katie and Trapper.

Fox Creek Farm is accepting applications for micro petites (under 20 lb.), petites (20-25 lb.), and minis (26-35 lb.) that will arrive in September and will be ready in November.  Applications are accessible at www.Goldendoodles.net.

Fox Creek Farm is now accepting applications for litters that will be due in Nov. and Dec. and ready in Jan. and Feb.  Photos can be provided for those who want to give a puppy for Christmas, but wish to be free of the responsibility of a puppy over the holiday season.

FCF is accepting applications for litters ready in December or later. All summer litters are reserved by families already on the waiting list. As with all reputable breeders, a substantial waiting list is common. Breeders that have multiple litters with available puppies are being irresponsible by creating litters for which they didn't pre-sell. This is a sign of a puppy mill. All good things are worth the wait. Puppy mills sell their puppies because people want instant gratification. Buying from a puppy mill doesn't "rescue" the puppy, but instead fuels the puppy mill to produce yet more substandard puppies.

8th Annual Dewey Beach Doodle Romp

This event raises funds to donate to Food For Friends charity.  This charity provides meals to the terminally ill.  Last year, $2,500 was raised.  The romp is scheduled for 4/27-4/28 in Dewey Beach, DE.  Enter the beach from Saulsbury St.  Info on lodging can be found at www.Goldendoodles.net or www.DoodlesInDewey.com.  We hope to see you there!

Dewey Beach Doodle Romp

I hope you all can join us at Dewey Beach for the 7th Annual Dewey Beach Doodle Romp which is a fund raiser for Food For Friends.  This charity provides meals to the terminally ill.  We typically have about 100 Doodles on the beach and we raise about $1500 for the charity.  The romp is always the last weekend in April.  The dates this year are 4/28-4/29/12.  You can find info on pet friendly lodging on my website.

Multigen Medium Goldendoodles

This is a record litter for Fox Creek Farm - 15 puppies in one litter!  We have a few open reservations.  Puppies will be ready 3/31.  Males should mature to 45-60 lbs. and females from 35-50 lbs.
